Installing and Molding In the BPP Rear Brake Ducts

Just getting started here.  This is the template supplied with the brake duct kit taped in place on the rocker panel.  After marking around the template it was removed and the initial cut was made in the rocker panel.  These kits are made to be surface mounted but, I wanted a smoother look than that.  I decided to "mold in" the scoops for more of a custom look.
Prep the duct scoops by grinding a chamfer all around the outer edge as shown on the one on the left.  The one on the right is shown just as it comes out of the box.
After making the initial cut and prepping the scoops place one of the scoops into the cutout area and hold it against the rocker panel.  Align the scoop with the door opening to your satisfaction and scribe a line around the scoop.  Remove the scoop and cut the rocker panel again about 1/4" inside of the scribed line.  Grind another chamfer from the scribed line down to nothing at the last cut line as shown in the picture to the left.  Trial fit the scoop and adjust as necessary with your sander.  Take your time, it will pay off for you later.
Here's the products I used for installing the scoops.  The SEM 39987 Fast Set Adhesive was used for actually "gluing" the scoops to the body.  This was applied all along the chamfered area on both the body and scoop.  The scoop was then held in place until the adhesive set.  After allowing the SEM material to cure I sanded the bonded area using a small air sander to prep it for finishing.
Next, the Fusor 114 was used as a fairing compound to blend and smooth the scoop and surrounding area.  Almost done here and ready for primer.
Here it is!  Ready to be block sanded and painted.
